Facing the aggressive advances of two men in suits, Lucas initially seemed oblivious to any danger, lounging nonchalantly in his seat.
In the next instant, he moved with lightning speed, his fingers curling into claws to catch their incoming fists.
What seemed like a deadly assault was effortlessly neutralized!
To an outsider, Millie’s two bodyguards might as well have been paper tigers.
“You two are worthless. What’s that? A girly punch?”
Lucas taunted, his face etched with contempt.
Millie’s eyes widened in disbelief, as if she’d seen a ghost.
The two men in suits, visibly shocked and wracked with pain, grimaced as Lucas gripped their fists. It felt as though their bones were on the verge of splintering under his hold.
“Who … who are you?”
One of the suited men, his face flushing red under the strain, managed to ask through gritted teeth.
“You’re not worthy of knowing!” Lucas replied coldly. “Judging by your moves, you must have learned the Sixteen Fatal Arts from the war zone, right?”
With a quick, disdainful laugh, Lucas continued, “You learned all those skills, and instead of serving your -country, you became lapdogs for others? Fine. Today, I’ll break your legs!”
The Sixteen Fatal Arts were developed from standard combat techniques to be more practical and lethal. This martial art was free of superfluous moves, making it brutally efficient.
Who was Lucas? The creator of the Sixteen Fatal Arts, known as the Shadow Demon, who spread the technique throughout special operations units!
The realization came easily to Lucas, even from just a single punch.
With that, Lucas snorted in derision, pushing their fists away as he rose to his full height.
The two men, their faces twisted in determination, exchanged glances. Swallowing their shock, they prepared for another attack.
One of them roared, swinging his leg in a powerful arc that whistled through the air. A kick strong enough to break a tree trunk, aimed to maim or kill.
Lucas laughed heartily, throwing his own leg into the fray!
With a resounding clash, bones snapped audibly!
Crack! Crack!
The man’s shin shattered instantly under the force of impact, sending him flying through the air.
1/2 “Run, Ms. Lloyd! Now!” The remaining bodyguard screamed, eyes wide with terror. This man, Lucas, was a

Millie, paralyzed with fear, tried to flee but found her legs weak and uncooperative. The elite bodyguards she relied on, veterans from the war zone, were useless against Celine’s mere driver?
“D*mn it, stop yelling. I’m not going to kill her.”
Lucas rolled his eyes at the panicked bodyguard’s outburst.
In a heartbeat, he spun around, delivering a sweeping leg kick with terrifying speed.
Crack!
The remaining bodyguard’s legs crumpled, and he crashed to the ground.
In mere moments, both bodyguards, who were supposed to be highly skilled, lay defeated. They were like straw against steel, defenceless against Lucas.
Scoffing as though he’d done nothing remarkable, Lucas turned his gaze to Millie.
“Who… who are you? What do you want from me?” Millie stuttered, terror etched on her face.
“What do I want? I’ve already told you. I want you to endorse CEL Cosmetics unconditionally. Agree, and your dirty secrets will die with me. Deal?”
Lucas shrugged.
Swallowing hard, Millie desperately tried to compose herself, fearfully calculating her options.
After a moment, she took a deep breath.
“Alright, alright! I’ll do it. Just don’t do anything rash!”
Lucas studied her expression, eyebrows raising.
“Really?”
“Of course. You have so much dirt on me, and the power to kill me anytime. Why would I dare lie to you?”
Millie’s voice softened as she spoke, her demeanor pitiful and helpless, invoking any sympathy and mercy Lucas might harbor.
Her eyes, shimmering with appeal, would have melted the hearts of countless men.
But not Lucas. He remained unmoved, smirking coldly.
“Let me guess what you’re thinking right now.”
