The banquet went well. Although Nola had almost offended Mrs. Hadley, she managed to solve the problem with her quick wit and was recognized by everyone. In the end, Tanya was the only one who was upset.

After the lavish banquet, Nola didn’t neglect her work at the company.
Word of what happened at the banquet spread quickly. When Nola came to work at the company, she noticed that everyone was looking at her with strange expressions in their eyes. Nola had gotten used to it because these people always liked to make a big deal out of a trifle. She waved to Elvis and headed for the design department. When she got to the door, she heard the discussion in the office.
The content of this discussion shocked her.
“Have you heard? Last night, Mr. Grayson brought a female companion to the annual banquet of the big shots in Rachy City.”
Another voice corrected her, “What companion? You know nothing about it. Let me tell you, this woman was not just a companion. Mr. Grayson personally brought someone to meet Mr. Hadley and introduced this woman as his wife.”
“What? Is Mr. Grayson married? When did it happen? My, how could Mr. Grayson get married?”
“What is there to be surprised about? Isn’t it normal for Mr. Grayson to get married? You haven’t got the point yet.” Nola stood in the doorway and watched their discussion with great interest.
The colleague who spoke looked meaningfully at Nola’s desk, and everyone seemed to understand what she meant.
“Mr. Grayson has a wife! What breaking news! It’s said that the mysterious woman Mr. Grayson was hiding was extremely beautiful. She was the most beautiful woman at the banquet. It was said that she was elegant, noble, and looked like a goddess. Can you imagine that?”

Since everyone thought that Nola was not Mr. Grayson’s legal wife, they were not as cautious as before when they saw her coming. They felt that Mr. Grayson would not make a big deal in the company for a mistress, so they were not as careful with Nola as they had been before.
“Oh! Nowadays, it is good for women to have good looks and figures! In that case, if you learn some methods, you can get any man you want. Unlike us, we can only work hard to design. Don’t you think so?”
