Elvis was neither noble–minded nor inconsiderate. He had known that Nola had only so little courage. Now that they got married, they should take their marriage seriously. He wouldn’t force her on some things but let her slowly get used to it!
There was a sigh above Nola’s head. “A clever person will not cope with a tough problem alone.”
Nola said dully, “But you’re Mr. Grayson!”
“You were bold when you came to me, weren’t you? But now you’re a wimp, are you?”
All right! Although Elvis was handsome, and it would not be her loss to sleep with him, she was a wimp now.
“Do you think I’ll marry any woman casually? I know all about the Grant family”
“You know?” Nola’s little head moved, and she looked up at Elvis. She could only see his outline in the dim light.
He knew everything and why she resorted to him but agreed with her proposal.
She was taking advantage of him!
“As you said, we take what we need from each other! And you’re the right person for me. You can resort to me if you get any trouble.
“Resort to you?” That was not part of the contract. She just needed him to cure her mother.

Nola was now in Elvis‘ arms in the dark, and his words made her feel comfortable and safe.

Being rejected by a woman who was his wife, Elvis became unhappy. With his handsome blue face, he unconsciously tightened his grip in the dark, and they were pressed closer together.

The memo on her phone reminded her that today was the deadline given by the hospital. She got up, got ready, and hurried downstairs without tying her hair up.
Her long black hair surprised Elvis for a moment. He had not looked at her closely last night. Surprisingly, her hair was fine.
“Come here. Have breakfast!”
“Good morning, Mrs. Grayson!”
“Mr. Grayson, can you… spare some time to go to the hospital with me today? It’s the deadline today from the hospital.”

The weather was as gloomy as ever. After the driver David Borus dropped her off across the street from Apex Group, the gre out and told the driver to go back first.

The cold wind blew on her as the car left. She wrapped herself in her coat tightly and walked over to Apez Group
