Chapter 15

Everything in the design department was the same as before. Nola had been so naive that she had thought this place was at good platform for her talents. However, after less than half a year, she began to find that Tanya had taken her credit. Nola learned a lot there. She realized that she, as the eldest daughter of Myles Grant, was even less respected than an ordinary emplovec.

“Alright.” Nola chose to wait there, since she was not allowed in. “Please tell Ms. Tanya that I wanna talk to her. Just two

minutes.”

“Wait here. The assistant rolled her eyes and walked into the room with her head in the air and a cup of coffee in her hand. Nola had been waiting there, but nobody came out of the room. Nola didn’t know what they were talking in the meeting room, but the morning just passed like that.

Nola got impatient. She stood up and walked to the room.

“Nola Grant, you can’t enter now.”

“Get out of my way!” Nola knew Tanya did this on purpose. Tanya just wanted her to wait for the whole morning. Tanya had always embarrassed her like this, but Nola just didn’t want to stand it anymore.

Nola shouted and pushed the assistant away. People in the office were all shocked. They looked at Nola in confusion.

Nola was a tolerant person. She never argued with anyone and refused any job. What was wrong with her? She shouted at the assistant and looked so strange.

Everyone knew that Ms. Tanya liked the assistant. Nola would definitely be punished.

Not only did Nola shout at the assistant, but she also broke into the meeting room. She didn’t think she should respect Tanya, since Tanya didn’t respect her.

When Nola pushed open the door, she saw the two persons in the meeting room hugging and flirting. There was a lip print on Javion Lee’s cheek. So, this was so–called business. Tanya was just talking business with a man in this way.

The flirting was disturbed, which made Javion a little annoyed. He adjusted his suit and said to Tanya, Tanya, I gotta go. I still have some work to do. Oh, I’ll come at dinnertime. How about that?”

When he left, he passed by Nola and couldn’t help looking at her. This woman had worn ugly glasses that day and looked ordinary, but today, she tied up her hair and looked a little pretty. However, Javion still liked Tanya more, because Tanya was sexy, hot, and smart.

Tanya was not embarrassed. She cleared her throat and pulled a long face. “Don’t you know this is the meeting room? I’m talking business with Mr. Lee. It’s rude to break in just like this. You made Mr. Lee embarrassed.”

Nola sneered ironically. “The way you talk business is so weird.”

“It’s none of your business. You become more and more impolite. It seems that I have to make the discipline clearer to you.”

“Great. I also wanna talk to you. Ms. Tanya” As Nola said this, she threw the resignation letter at Tanya’s face.

Tanya was shocked. She picked up the letter and looked at Nola in confusion.

Her father got very angry yesterday. He said Nola was protected by a powerful man. Even the Joan family couldn’t do anything about it. Her father’s plan failed, which made him angry. According to her father, Nola and Elvis got married, but Tanya didn’t believe it at all.

Tanya didn’t think Elvis would like Nola, because even Tanya had no chance to know Elvis. However, her father wouldn’t lie. He even asked Tanya to bring Nola back home.

Elvis was way more respectable than Javion who talked much but did little and only relied on his families.

Tanya had no right to laugh at Elvis. Nola clenched her fists but didn’t argue with Tanya.

“I’m not superstitious and don’t believe the rumor at all. Obviously, my husband is much more outstanding than Javion in all aspects.

“Nola Grant. I can’t understand why you are so proud of being such a man’s wife. You should have listened to our father and married into the Joan family. At least, you could save your life. My life will be boring if you die from bad luck.”

“Nobody knows when we will die. Perhaps you will die earlier than me.” Nola smiled calmly. She was not as tolerant as before. Her words irritated Tanya.
