Elvis raised his eyebrows slightly and glanced at the vulnerable yet lovely woman beside Javion. Nola was worried that Elvis might sympathize with Tanya.
Men tended to have sympathy for the weak, and Elvis was a man. Nola thought Elvis would reprimand her, but his response
lmost made Nola laugh.
“That’s just how they bond with each other?
What a clever remark! How could anyone refute that? Nola was impressed. Well said, Elvis!
That was an explanation that sounded legitimate but made no sense at all!
“Can I use it as an excuse to pick on Tanya in the future?” Nola wondered.
Javion turned livid, “What kind of explanation is that, Mr. Grayson? You know Nola bullied my sweet innocent Tanya.”
“This is between the Grant sisters. They have a love–hate relationship. The more they fight, the closer they get. It’s not our place to interfere with them”

“Well, in that case, Elvis smiled gracefully, “You must also make compensation since your woman ruined my wife’s face.”

“You…” Javion was speechless. According to Elvis, Javion’s woman got beaten hard because she was weak, which served her right. Meanwhile, Elvis should have sought justice for his wife Nola since she was also hurt. And yet, he took the high road and refused to do that.
“Now you are being ridiculous, Mr. Grayson. You can’t do that.”
“I can! You got a problem with that, Mr. Lee? Well, suck it up.”

“I won’t let you walk all over me, Elvis Grayson!” Javion was about to make a move while speaking. It was too like Javion, who was used to taking charge. How could Elvis be so unreasonable?
“Are you sure you want to do this, Mr. Lee?”
Tanya couldn’t breathe when she met Elvis‘ eyes burning with fierceness and heard his harsh tone. She told Javion what happened to make him feel bad for her. She had no idea Javion would confront Nola and force the latter to apologize.
And now, Elvis was also here, which only worsened the situation.
Tanya and Javion came here for dinner, not to fight. It would be humiliating if they got into a fight and were arrested. In addition, Tanya knew that the Grayson family had connections, and Elvis had friends in various sectors, which meant he could destroy anyone if he wanted to.
Javion was no match for Elvis. It took Tanya a lot of effort to win over the Lee family members. She couldn’t afford to bring trouble for Javion so soon. The Lee family would blame her for the consequences. Therefore, Tanya must look at the bigger picture here.
“Forget it, Javion. I didn’t mean to get you involved. We are here for dinner. Please don’t make a big deal out of this. I’m ok, truly”

Rumors had it that the Graysons were tough, especially Elvis Grayson. Now that Tanya saw what a man Elvis was with her own eyes, she understood it wasn’t the right time to get back to him.
“Just let go.” Tanya cast Nola a glance full of reluctance. She would find another way to get back to Nola someday.
Javion had no choice but to let it slide.
However, Tanya and Javion underestimated Elvis, who, seeing them about to leave, said, “Don’t you forget something. Mr. Lee? You wanted an explanation, and I offered you one. And now, it’s my turn. I’m afraid I can’t let you go easily.
“What do you mean, Mr. Grayson? Your Nola hurt my Tanya, remember? Didn’t you say that we men shouldn’t interfere with women’s affairs? You are a double dealer, as I can see.”
“I wasn’t referring to the fight. I’m talking about what you are doing to Nola and me here. You spoiled our appetite.” “Don’t push it, Mr. Grayson. People are afraid of you, but not me. The Grayson family can’t hoodwink the public!”
“I admire your courage, Mr. Lee. I have always wanted a worthy rival like you, and I’ll be glad to accept your challenge. But,
you
did ruin our appetite. You have to do something about it.”
Javion knew he had lost the battle. He shouldn’t have come and confronted them. It wouldn’t be worth it if this little incident ruined his date with Tanya.
After thinking for a while, Javion softened, “What do you want?”
“I understand the Lee family is vastly wealthy. Would you mind paying for our dinner?”
“Fine!” Javion growled. He would remember this, retaliate against Elvis some other time, and made him suffer! Elvis wouldn’t be able to laugh by then!
“I’m sorry to get you involved, Javion. You didn’t have to speak up for me. I’m ok.”
“You are my lady. How could I stand by and watch you being bullied? I don’t care how powerful the Grayson family is. Trust me. The Lee family will surpass it someday, and we will win.”
Those words soothed Tanya. She loved men with ambition and confidence.
To avoid seeing Elvis and Nola again, Tanya and Javion changed their seats. Seeing them sitting far away, Nola smiled and said, “That was eye–opening. How did you do that?”
“Do what? Why don’t you compliment me directly instead?”
Nola laughed. Elvis was truly amazing. He actually made those who were wronged feel shameful. That was impressive.
“Lucky for them that we didn’t ask for much other than paying for the dinner.”
Nola complained about not having claimed more compensation when they left the restaurant. Elvis smiled, “Do you know how much Javion paid for our dinner?”
“Well?” Nola thought it was just dinner that couldn’t cost so much.
However, she didn’t know that when Javion saw the bill his face was twisted. The dinner cost him over 14,0
14,000 dollars.
That’s the dinner worth over 14,000 dollars? What could Elvis have ordered?
Elvis didn’t tell her the price until Nola insisted on it, and she was shocked, “What if Javion wasn’t there today? Did you bring enough money with you?” Nola recalled that they had ordered before Javion came.

“I didn’t.” Elvis replied nonchalantly, acting like it wain’t a big deal.
Nola was dumbfounded. How could Elvis take her to dinner at such a fancy place without preparing enough money?
