Seeing Nola pouting, Elvis frowned and softened. “Be a good girl. You’ve slept for a whole day. It’s time to get up and have some food.”
Nola was stunned, thinking, “I slept a whole day?! Oh, so he just got off work and returned…”
“A whole day?!” she accidentally twisted, and the soreness overwhelmed her again. “Why didn’t Alisa wake me up?!” Nola wondered what Alisa would think of her.
She was supposed to behave like a decent lady, but now…
“I told her not to. You were drained last night, so I thought you could rest today. Well, I didn’t know you would sleep for a whole day.”

He patted her head and explained, “Who do you think I am? A monster? Let me carry you to the bathroom. A hot bath will make you feel better.” His soft tone made her confused. In just a few days, they already looked like a couple.
Nola didn’t know what she should do or how she could face him after that sex.

“Yeah, I saw you naked.” Elvis smiled, knowing she was embarrassed. He wrapped her in the blanket and scooped the girl in the blanket. Nola looked back at the sheet, but there was nothing left on it.
“Where is my…” she thought there was supposed to be blood on the sheet.
But why was there not?
Elvis coughed and whispered in her ear. Nola blushed again. She looked away, avoiding meeting his eyes and feeling stupid to ask such a question.
“What is wrong with me?! I’m always a smart girl!” she mentally yelled to herself.
In the bathroom, Elvis put her down and filled the tub for her. Soon, the steamy air filled the room and blurred his figure. Nola felt that the steam also ravel her thoughts. Looking at his side face, she couldn’t believe what had happened between them.
Her obsession made Elvis swallow. He wondered if Nola could bear that wild sex again.
Elvis seriously said, “You know I’m not a self–control master, right?”
Nola quickly came back to her senses and understood his words. She knew Elvis was not so good at managing his lust since the bruises on her were solid proof.
“Mr. Grayson! What are we now… What am I to you?” Nola blurted out. She believed that sex should be something only between two persons who loved each other.

She thought she would hate their sex and even hate Elvis, but she didn’t. All she owned was the embarrassment that made her unable to face him.
“We are a couple.”

“Do you hate me?” He asked before Nola could finish speaking. She shook her head. She didn’t hate him, or she wouldn’t stay in the bathroom with him. Nola knew that someday she would sleep with him.
And when it really happened, Nola felt it wasn’t that hard for her to accept it.
“Then what are you questioning? You don’t have to overthink. I told you that day. You are my Mrs. Grayson, and you will always be.”
“Then can you at least tell me if you fall in someone else in the future?”
Nola chose to marry Elvis, and Elvis was actually a good husband. She couldn’t ask him for more, but she really wanted to be noted if it really happened. Nola didn’t want to become a pathetic woman.
“I will not,” Elvis stood up straight and firmly said, “I won’t fall in love with someone else.”
Linda told Nola before that Elvis had a childhood sweetheart. They used to be a loving couple, but the girl passed away before they got engaged. After that, Elvis was always alone.
“So when he said he would not, he meant he wouldn’t love anyone, right? Anyone but that girl, right?” she thought.
Somehow, the air froze in the bathroom. Elvis spoke to soothe her, “Don’t overthink. Now, take a hot bath. Then, come downstairs to grab some food, OK?”
“Mm.” Nola watched him leave. She had mixed feelings in her heart. Elvis loved that girl so much even though that girl was dead. Somehow, Nola was a bit jealous of that girl.

She looked at the bruises on her body with a blush and quickly put on a sweater. Nola didn’t want anyone to see them.
It was just an accident, but it did teach Nola that she shouldn’t be drinking anymore. She had to keep sober.
Nola composed herself up and went downstairs, trying to ignore the cheerful expression on Alisa’s face. Nola slept for a whole day, but now she couldn’t eat much. Alisa prepared chicken broth for her, saying it would make her feel better.
Nola glared at Elvis, blaming him for letting Alisa know about their sex.
Suddenly, she remembered why she had cooked for him last night. Now that it had happened, she had to make use of it.
“Ahem, are you in a good mood now?”

Elvis mused on her and said, “What do you think?” He didn’t even know it himself.
“Well, I think you are. So, would you please think about the recommendation thing?”
Elvis put down his fork and didn’t say anything, enjoying her expecting eyes. But Nola didn’t enjoy the silence at all. “Never mind! I know you’re rigorous. I’m not qualified to learn in your Grayson Group. Yes, I know myself well!”
“I didn’t say you wouldn’t get it.” Elvis loved to tease her. It was great entertainment for him in his spare time.
