Nola was almost startled by Elvis‘ blunt words and cheered for him in her heart. Lelia’s aggrieved expression made her very happy.
Myles was embarrassed for a while. “This… is my wife.”
“Mr. Grant, I’m not interested in knowing about your love affairs. I’ve already met Nola’s mother and have settled down everything. She was sent abroad for medical treatment which can also make Nola feel at ease. Do you have any doubts about this?”
Myles didn’t expect the Grayson family to act fast and directly send Nola’s mother abroad. It took only a month to break the hospital and the Joan family which could only done by Elvis with such strength and iron hand.
Although Elvis‘ tone was friendly because Myles was Nola’s father, Myles always felt Elvis was mocking him. At this moment, he didn’t feel any sense of superiority as a father–in–law.
“I was on a business trip before, so I didn’t come back. I thought nothing would happen if I let Nola go home alone. But when I went back, I saw she was covered in injuries. If I hadn’t known Nola was going back to your family, I would have thought she was bullied by some desperate scoundrels. Mr. Grant, do you know what’s going on?”
When Myles heard his tone, he felt something was wrong.
He had been working in the business until now, but he couldn’t hold down Elvis‘ aura at all. He felt very embarrassed to be questioned by his son–in–law.
It turned out Elvis was coming there to confront him.

“A prank?” Elvis asked back. His cold eyes swept over everyone and finally fell on Lelia.
“Since it was a prank, let’s solve it in the original way! Who beat Nola that day should come out and admit it. Then we can talk about the family thing after we get even.”
Elvis was obviously not coming for dinner but for seeking justice for Nola. Lelia had never been humiliated like this before, and her face immediately darkened.

“Elvis, why are you being so aggressive? No matter what, you are a junior. I am Tanya’s boyfriend, and we will be engaged soon, so I am a member of the Grant family. Why can’t I have a say?”

“Since we can’t go on talking, there’s no need to have this dinner. I want to talk about two things today. After we talk about it, I want to invite you to meet my parents and discuss the wedding between me and Nola. But now… Forget it. We’ll talk about it another time when you want to.”

Besides, the whole Rachy City would know he was Elvis‘ father–in–law. Nobody would dare to offend Apex Group, and he didn’t need to worry about the company’s business.
Myles immediately changed his expression and grabbed Elvis, and his tone also changed.
“Clam down. You haven’t had a seat yet. Don’t rush. Nola, sit down. This is not a big deal and it’s easy to solve. Let me explain.”
