“Fine, I’ll do it. After all, I’m just a deputy!” She smiled, looked at Nola and Bertha, and fixed her eyes on Nola.

That question was what Nola had heard the most that day. Nola nodded, didn’t say much, only saw woman sneer, and didn’t continue.
That flamboyant woman had a name that didn’t match her personality, Claire Miller, and her name didn’t affect her personality at all. In the design department, Claire was the one who did her own way and was hot–tempered.
As for that design department, it was well known that Claire and Deborah were at odds. Deborah had her own unique views on design. As for Claire, her design was not outstanding, but her greatest ability was customer resources, and Claire had strong negotiation and communication skills.
Claire and Deborah always competed with each other, but no one could beat the other, and a balance had been reached.
Among those colleagues, there were also those who liked to gossip, and there were also those who did things in obscurity and spied on the news. Also, they looked useless, but had never been fired, and were willing to suffer.
Deborah gave Nola some basic work. Nola needed to familiarize herself with the daily work process. As for the design, of course, it would be a matter of the future. Only daily work made Nola’s desk pile up like a hill of documents.

Nola believed in her intuition. Claire seemed not very friendly to Nola. After Bertha came out of Claire’s office, Bertha smiled and held the documents, and began to look at the client’s information. Bertha was much more relaxed than Nola and even showed off in front of Nola.
“Claire is so kind,” Bertha said, looking at her documents and the documents on Nola’s desk, feeling complacent.
Nola didn’t understand why Bertha was complacent. Nola and Bertha were still in the probationary period. Now was not the time for them to slack off. Nola came to the Grayson Group with the attitude of learning, not because Nola wanted to slack off to make money.
If Nola wanted to slack off, Nola might as well eat and sleep in Breeze Garden every day. Nola liked the full and busy life
now.
The sound of the high–heeled shoes on the floor was crisp. Everyone was busy, and Nola was no exception. There was an ironic sigh behind Nola, which surprised her a little. As soon as Nola looked up, Nola saw Claire leaning on the table next to Nola and looking at her with interest.

Claire had other meanings in her words, but Nola couldn’t figure them out. Nola wondered if it was that she was introduced by Damion, and those people thought she and Damion had some special relationship.

Near noon, Nola received a message from Elvis asking her to have dinner with him.

Nola kissed Elvis‘ face, as a reward for him. Nola took the portion of fruit prepared for her, and, of course, left some for Elvis.
Elvis shook his head with a smile, watching Nola leave like a thief. He had no choice but to let her go.
Nola returned to the office full of joy, only to see that the girl wearing glasses, Fiona, was still busy in the corner of the office. It seemed that Fiona had never left.
“Didn’t you go to lunch?” Nola frowned as Fiona watched her nibble on dry bread. People in the office went to dinner in groups, but Fiona was not invited.
