“Nonsense, is Boss someone who has never seen a woman before? I think Boss must have found her suspicious and was afraid she would run away, that’s why he guarded her.”
“If she’s suspicious, we could have fed her to the fish last night. Besides, if she comes back, we can just tie her up with a rope. Is there a need for him to stay up all night just to guard her? Aveline saw the two boys, who were probably around twelve or thirteen years old, standing in front of
her.
They were wearing headgear, but their silliness couldn’t be hidden.
Clearly, the man who was holding a gun one second ago was now comforting her. No matter how you looked at it, he seemed like a good person.

Aveline wiped away her tears and looked at the man standing by the bed with teary eyes.
He was tall and wore a half–mask on his face, concealing his features. She could only judge his emotions through his thin lips.
