Aveline couldn’t believe that someone would be so hold as to risk threatening, Alexander for ransom,
Before they could even deliver the message, Alexander’s men would have already found their hideout and captured them all.
“How much are you planning to ask for?” Aveline further inquired.
Jack held up one finger, “He’s so rich, we should at least ask for one million.”
Aveline looked at him in disbelief, “One million?”
They were risking everything for just one million? Alexander probably thought they were mocking him.
Jack lost some confidence under her gaze, “Didn’t you say he’s very wealthy? He should be able to come up with one million, right? Or… fifty thousand would do.”
Aveline sighed and rubbed her temples. How did she start feeling sympathy for the kidnappers?
If they only asked for fifty thousand, Alexander might have spared their lives. But after seeing their demand for a fifty thousand ransom, he would probably throw them to the sharks.
Seeing Aveline’s silence, Tyler weakly spoke up, “Um, what if they don’t even have fifty thousand? How about twenty thousand then?”
Hearing their demands decrease again and again, Aveline sighed helplessly.
