“Weren’t you scolding me vigorously this morning?” He looked at her.
Aveline pursed her lips, “I’m sorry, I was a bit out of control at the time.”
“Have you eaten?”
Thinking about eating in the kitchen until she burped, Aveline said with lowered eyelids, “Not yet, I
was afraid the food would get cold.”
Alexander pulled her onto his lap, “Let’s eat together.”
She pretended to be flustered, “But…”
He fed her a spoonful of soup, and Aveline drank it and stuck out her tongue, “It’s hot…”
