liking.
“For how long?” Aveline looked at him through the flickering candlelight, noticing that his handsome face was no longer tense but unusually relaxed.
“Two years and one month,” he quickly replied.
She smiled bitterly. “So I’m not the only one who hasn’t forgotten.”
“Aveline, I’m not as heartless as you think.”
“If you had a heart, we wouldn’t have ended up like this.”
“Can’t even stop talking while eating?” He frowned.
She cut a piece of steak, and it tasted just the same, with no difference at all. The person next to her was also the same, yet there was no familiarity.

Alexander raised his glass to her. “Have some, I won’t make you drink tonight.”
It seemed that he hadn’t forgotten how long she had vomited after drinking too much last time.
She didn’t hesitate and lightly sipped from the silver cup, while Alexander drank most of his in one
