In the past, when Alexander was busy, she would do this. He would rest while she read and then he
would tell her his decisions for her to handle.
Alexander raised his eyes and gently pulled her wrist, drawing her into his embrace. Aveline’s soft
body fell into his arms.
She let out a soft cry. The man who had been so angry with her last night suddenly made this move.
The documents scattered on the ground as her delicate wrist propped against Alexander’s solid chest.

me for a fool. What do you want by joining the Sterling family business?”
Aveline’s heart skipped a beat. Indeed, she couldn’t hide anything from him.
Thinking about how angry he had been just because she mentioned something related to Layla last night, not to mention that the other party was closely monitoring her, she couldn’t risk alerting them.
