As a medical student, Maya was well aware of the side effects of chemotherapy. She could understand why Aveline made this decision.
Many people don’t die from cancer, but from the side effects of chemotherapy. It’s too agonizing and painful.
She couldn’t selfishly let Aveline bear it alone. Maybe gritting her teeth and persevering would only make her leave faster.
Maya hugged Aveline from behind, tears silently streaming down her face.
“Okay, I’ll accompany you.”

“Besides Nora, there wouldn’t be anyone else.” Aveline was very clear about this. Alexander agreed to accompany her for a month and then this happened. It definitely had something to do with Nora.
“You know it’s her, so why are you so calm?!”
“From last year until now, Nora has used many methods to force me and Alexander to divorce. To be honest, her tricks aren’t clever at all. Alexander can see through these little tricks, but he always stands by Nora’s side without hesitation. At first, I would argue based on reason, but later I realized that right and wrong didn’t matter, his favoritism mattered.”
Seeing Aveline’s despair, Maya continued to awaken her fighting spirit. “But this time is different. If she really did something to Layla’s grave, even if you want a divorce, don’t let her off easily.”
“Maya, the problem between me and Alexander is not Nora, but his sister’s death. Unless she can be resurrected, we can’t resolve our hatred. And even if we could, we wouldn’t be able to be together.”

Don’t rush to take the blame. Have I let go of Cameron? I can tell you that one day I will definitely let go completely. A few unidentified seagulls flew against the cold wind in the sky, and ships sailed in the distance, blowing their horns.
The world was still beautiful, unaffected by anyone’s departure.
Aveline made a decision.
She sent a message to Alexander, and this time, neither of them would break the appointment.
When Alexander saw her, she was wrapped in a white down jacket, wearing a furry hat and snow boots, completely bundled up.
He couldn’t help but wonder, was she always this afraid of the cold?
His gaze fell on her neck. Her skin was delicate and snow–white, leaving marks with just a little force.
