Lenora stepped forward, her expression serious. “I just saw the driver responsible for my father’s death.” Upon hearing that, Sophia comforted, “Huh? Don’t be upset. You’ve already done your best to seek justice for your father…”
That was the brutal reality of a car accident.
The victim had died, yet the perpetrator often escaped with a sentence far from capital punishment, typically being released after a few years. However, for the victim’s family, the pain was something they could never truly heal from.
With a gentle smile, Lenora said, “I understand. The matter has long been settled. I won’t cling to the past anymore.”
Legally, everything had been settled. However, in her heart, she could never forgive the perpetrator.
Lenora spent the day strolling around Sparaville with Sophia. Afterward, they took the high–speed train back to Jacaster, returning to Sophia’s loft.
The moment they opened the door, a long–forgotten scene unfolded before their eyes.
Lenora and Sophia casually tossed their suitcases aside and sprawled out on the couch.
They had been away for nearly a month, and a layer of dust had settled throughout the loft. The utensils in the kitchen were in dire need of a good cleaning.
Although they didn’t have the energy to clean up at the moment, after lounging on the couch for a considerable amount of time, Sophia, clutching her phone, asked, “What do you feel like eating?”

We’ll share the common areas like the movie room, gym, kitchen, and so forth. It will be nice for both of us to have company. I think it’s a great idea!”
In reality, she didn’t mind if Lenora stayed there indefinitely. However, she knew that without accepting any money, Lenora would certainly be reluctant to stay for long-

The two of them lounged on the couch, watching two movies back to back, and then idly played on their phones. As the day gradually faded into the evening. Lenora put down her phone and suggested, “All right. Let’s clean up a bit and then head to bed.”

The car paused briefly at the entrance of the Galaxy Bay mansion.
Her license plate was still registered in the residential security system. As the barrier gate lifted, she stepped on the gas and smoothly drove in, eventually stopping outside the mansion.
Miranda was tidying up the courtyard when she heard the hum of a car engine. Her surprise gave way to delight upon looking up. She dropped her broom to greet the newcomer. “Mrs. Fuller, you’re back!”
Lenora gave a faint smile. “Miranda, I’m no longer married to him, so there’s no need to call me Mrs. Fuller anymore. I’m here today to pick up Cotton.”
Miranda let out a sigh. “Ms. Wilkin, Cotton isn’t here at the moment.”
Lenora was taken aback. “Cotton isn’t here?”
“Yeah.” Miranda sighed. “It’s all my fault. I took Cotton to play in the courtyard for a while that day. Perhaps it was too small, its immunity weak, or the courtyard was probably too damp for it. Unexpectedly Cotton started to develop cat moss, so Mr. Fuller brought Cotton to the pet hospital”
Cat moss wasn’t life–threatening but could cause hair loss in cats. In severe cases, it could spread throughout the body, requiring a long treatment period and topical medication wouldn’t be very effective. However, Cotton was too young, and oral medication could potentially harm its liver.
Lenora felt a pang of worry, “Which pet hospital is Cotton at?”
“Um… I’m not sure.” Miranda apologized, shaking her head. “Mr. Fuller was the one who brought it to the hospital, and he didn’t say.”
Miranda suggested, “He’s at home right now, so why don’t you ask him?”

Hearing her voice, Zachary looked over in surprise. Seeing it was Lenora, he naturally leaned back into the chair, his hands initially on the keyboard now resting on the armrest. He lightly tapped it twice and asked airily, “Oh, it’s you? What did you just say?”
“Which pet hospital is Cotton being treated at? Once its cat moss clears up, I’ll go pick it up,” Lenora reiterated.
“What are you asking me for? I don’t know.” Zachary shifted his mouse slightly, his gaze fixed intently on the computer screen as if engrossed in some important task.
If Lenora stood behind Zachary, she would have seen that the computer screen was displaying the home

It was only when Lenora entered the living room that he quickly took a seat behind his desk, flipped open his laptop, and acted as if he was engrossed in his work.
Lenora paused for a moment. “Miranda said you were the one who took it to the pet hospital.”
“I was unexpectedly tied up with something that day, so Mr. Lancaster took it to the hospital.”
Lenora was rendered speechless.
“Okay, I’ll give him a call then. Thank you. You can get back to your work now.”
Having said that, Lenora took two steps back and grasped the doorknob, intending to close the door and leave.
“Wait, Zachary suddenly said, stopping her.
Lenora paused. “Is there something else?”
Just as Zachary was about to say something, his phone on the table suddenly began to ring.
He signaled to Lenora to hold on for a moment, then answered the phone. “Hello? Yes, my housekeeper will be at the mansion the entire time… You can come to view the house anytime… We can discuss the price later…”
Miles, from the other end, asked, “Mr. Fuller? What are you saying?”
“That’s all. I’m hanging up now.” Zachary ended the call without a change in his expression. He set his phone down on the table, but his gaze remained on Lenora’s face, not missing the slightest shift in her expression.
