These two sentences fell on Garrett’s ears like thunder, leaving him standing still on the spot.
He felt his mind go blank, as if all thoughts had come to a halt, and he could only mechanically repeat.
“Fiancé?”
In his unbelieving gaze, Ruth slowly nodded her head and then shouted towards the crowd.
“Liam.”
The next second, the man who had been arrogant just a second ago turned back into a gentle little lamb, timidly poking out half of his head and innocently blinking his eyes.
“Ruth, how did you come back so quickly?”
Ruth sensed a hint of guilt in his words.
She did have a lot of things she wanted to ask him, but it wasn’t the right time.
So she suppressed the doubts in her heart and waved at him.
Liam immediately ran over to her and conscientiously extended his hand, helping her down from the flower bed.
Watching the two people’s familiar and intimate appearance, Garrett’s stunned face showed slight cracks.
He tightly clenched his fist, looking at the intertwined fingers in shock, his voice becoming particularly sharp due to being out of control.
“Is this guy your fiancé?”
Ruth flipped Liam’s hand and revealed the two sparkling wedding rings in front of his eyes.
“Is there any problem?”
Her light and airy tone ignited anger in Garrett’s heart.
“We had only been divorced for less than a week!”
Ruth glanced at him lightly, her tone still calm.
“Correction, adding a cooling–off period, it was 35 days.”
This sentence left Garrett speechless.
These days, he has been looking at the agreement in the law firm, trying to find any loopholes.

After conducting research by more than a dozen elite lawyers, no results were obtained.
He contacted Ruth’s lawyer and wanted to try if they could negotiate to invalidate this agreement.
However, the other party’s attitude was very firm and they only said that if they did not agree to negotiate a divorce, they would directly sue in court.
Garrett knew that this was what Ruth meant.
The bell needs to be tied by the person who untied it.
He could only sort out his emotions and went all the way to find her, even to a foreign country.
He thought he had found her, so he softened up and sincerely repented, then reminisced about their past five years, hoping she would soften her heart and go back with him.
But reality gave Garrett a hard slap in the face!
He never expected that she would agree to someone else’s proposal so soon, just a few days after her divorce.
