Chapter 13
Carissa pursed her lips and said earnestly.
“I’m sorry, back then I misunderstood you and, and without distinguishing right from wrong, I scolded you…”
She spoke quieter and quieter, and her whole face was almost burning.

He dashed to the side of the road and hailed a taxi, then hurried home.

The car sped all the way to the residential area, and he couldn’t wait to take the elevator. He climbed straight up to the eighth floor in one breath.
The moment the door opened, Warren rushed in eagerly.
