The next morning, Emma stood by the window and waved to Carissa.
“Carie, Carie, come and see if that’s Melvin, right?”
Carissa paused her toothbrushing motion, clenched the toothbrush, and walked to the window to
look down.
At a glance, I saw Melvin standing straight downstairs.
Even though she knew he couldn’t see her, Carissa suddenly felt a bit shy for some unknown
reason.
Especially Emma was standing aside, pursing her lips and making comments.
“Tsk tsk tsk, what a devoted fool you are. Running eagerly to find your girlfriend so early in the morning. Carie, how did you train him? You must teach me one day, haha!”
As soon as these words were spoken, Carissa’s face turned completely red, and she quickly changed the subject.
“Emma, why don’t you join us for breakfast later? After eating, we can head straight to work!”
Emma picked up a bag of bread from the table and took a big bite angrily.
“I didn’t want to be a third wheel, you two go ahead and eat, I have something to take care of later!”

She hurriedly finished washing up and went downstairs, running up to Melvin.
“Why did you come so early today?”

Without hesitation, she turned around and wanted to leave, leaving behind these words.
Warren’s friends quickly stepped forward to stop her when they saw the situation.
“Although Warren obtained a marriage certificate with Madilyn, he never actually cheated on you. Why do you insist on clinging to this and being so nitpicky?”

Carissa felt the term “a nest of vipers” for the first time in such a genuine way.
