Chapter 5
Leroy looked at the dress he had sent to his secretary and took it back unchanged.
I didn’t understand what he meant for a moment, and frowned, saying, “What do you mean by ‘gone‘? Is the madam not at home?”
“Perhaps it was more than just being away from home…”
The secretary handed him the divorce agreement with a complex expression on her face.
Leroy was instantly stunned.
Without waiting for him to speak, Fiona walked over, holding her stomach. She saw the divorce agreement and chuckled, “Bryanna is really funny. We’re all grown–ups, and she’s still playing this breakup game. Does she think she’s a young girl?”
“Leroy, she was just trying to provoke you by bringing up Joe, knowing that you went out of your way to throw her a birthday party yesterday to defend me. Bryanna has always been like this, stringing along other men. I know her too well.”
“Really, she was the one who hit me first, how dare she throw a tantrum? She doesn’t even think
about it. You helped her organize her birthday party, and even designed a dress for her. It took so much effort, she really has no gratitude.”
“Don’t worry, Leroy. If you ignore her, she won’t be able to resist showing up after a while. She’s a woman in her late thirties, who has had multiple abortions and can’t bear children. Who will want her if she leaves you? She would cling to you like a leech. That’s how these sycophants are,
but you can’t indulge them, otherwise they’ll become arrogant.”
Leroy, however, remained silent, his eyes fixed firmly on the divorce agreement.
In the column for the woman’s name, the two words ‘Bryanna‘ were written with an unusual force, almost piercing through the paper, revealing the determination with which it was signed.
He knew Bryanna, she would never joke about something like this.
Shortly after their wedding, Bryanna became pregnant with their first child. At that time, he was
sitting on the couch with Bryanna, watching videos.
I came across a girl who, whenever she argued with her husband, would threaten him with divorce, and the guy would obediently apologize.
Leroy didn’t approve of such methods; he hated it when people threatened him.
Bryanna looked at him seriously and said, “Leroy, since I married you, I will never easily mention -divorce, but if one day I do, it means I really want to leave you.”
At that time, he was thinking hard about how to get rid of the baby in Bryanna’s belly because Fiona

came crying to him, saying that Jeffrey couldn’t conceive and if he couldn’t become the chairman of the Martinez Group, she would suffer.
So he didn’t take this seriously, but now, looking back, Leroy couldn’t help but feel anxious.
After Fiona finished speaking, the surrounding guests also showed mocking glances.
Those mockeries were not directed towards him, but towards Bryanna.
Because Bryanna had multiple miscarriages, people in the circle secretly called her ‘the infertile
wife‘.
Leroy had also heard these rumors before, and he would always just laugh them off.
Now, however, I feel that these gazes are so annoying, and I also start to feel dissatisfied with
Fiona.
Today is Bryanna’s birthday. Did she have to say that in front of so many people?
Others didn’t know why Bryanna had a miscarriage; does she still not know?
Leroy’s face slightly darkened. “Fiona, Bryanna is your aunt. Is it appropriate for you to address her by her first name?”
Fiona hesitated for a moment, feeling a bit embarrassed. “1–I got used to it, after all, Bryanna is
also my friend.”
“Really? I knew Bryanna even before you did. She has never been anyone’s lapdog or had any affairs with men, not even once. Even if you stole Jeffrey from her, she never bothered with it. Why would you say such things about her? Is this what you call a friend?”
Leroy looked around and said, “The party for today is canceled. I am going to find my wife. You all can do as you please.
Fiona quickly grabbed him and used the same trick again. “Leroy, I felt a bit sick in my stomach, please don’t leave.”
Leroy, who had always demanded everything from her, didn’t buy it this time. He had always believed that Fiona was fragile and needed him to protect her.
But her words just now had already overturned the image in her own mind.
Leroy withdrew his hand and said indifferently, “If you’re not feeling well, go see a doctor. Jeffrey is also supposed to return to his country today, you should find your husband to accompany you, after all, I am your uncle.”
“I have done everything I can do for you. From now on, you and Jeffrey have to walk the path yourselves. This is where our relationship ends. I am now going to find Bryanna.”

“Also, I don’t want to hear those words again in the future. Don’t take advantage of Bryanna and come to slander her. Take care of yourself.”
After saying that, he left without even looking back.
Just as he arrived home, his personal doctor called him, “Mr. Martinez, wasn’t the fashion show you organized for Flona supposed to be private? How did it spread all over the world? What if your wife sees it? She just had a miscarriage recently and can’t handle any more stress.”
Leroy then realized that someone had secretly taken photos of him and Fiona to gain attention and posted them online.
So, did Bryanna see it too?
The email suddenly received a message, it was Bryanna’s voice message.
Leroy opened it with joy, but his face turned pale instantly upon hearing the content.
That night, Bryanna knew everything. No wonder she pleaded so pitifully, begging me not to let her drink that glass of milk.
What did you do?
“Hello? Mr. Martinez, are you there? If you have time, please remember to bring your wife for a follow–up examination.”
“She couldn’t go anymore…”
“What?”
Leroy’s voice choked up as he said, “Bryanna found out everything, and she left…”
