Chapter 6
At that time, I had already arrived on the other side of the ocean.
Just got off the plane, and from a distance, I saw my long–lost best friend Elaina Deleon.
After hearing me explain the whole story, Elaina got so angry that she rolled up her sleeves and was
Fand Fiona. about to go back to her country to have a life–or–death battle with Leroya
I grabbed her and said, “Forget it, Elaina. I had already signed the divorce agreement. I don’t want to have anything to do with them anymore.”
Elaina hugged me tenderly and said, “It’s okay, leaving that scumbag is for the best. Otherwise, who knows if he would have harmed you one day. Let him be locked up with that bitch Fiona. You are beautiful and talented, even back in college, many directors were fighting over your scripts. If it weren’t for that jerk Leroy, you would have been an award–winning screenwriter by now.”
I felt a wave of bitterness in my heart.
Elaina and I both studied screenwriting back in the day, and we were considered the two rising stars in the field by the professors in our department.
Elaina was a non–marriage advocate, and as soon as she graduated, she flew to Orhill to pursue her
career.
And just after I got married to Leroy, I became pregnant with our first child. Leroy, concerned about my safety, didn’t let me go out to work and insisted that I stay at home to take care of the pregnancy.
Since then, I have been trapped in a nightmare of constant pregnancies and miscarriages.
Fortunately, the present me has crawled out of the nightmare.
Elaina said she had another project in her hands and couldn’t handle it alone. She hoped that I could
collaborate with her and split the work fifty–fifty.
I nodded with a smile, after all, being a screenwriter was also my dream.
“But before that, let’s have some fun first. After all, the script can be written anywhere. If my play sells for a lot of money, you can come along and enjoy the benefits with me!”
Global travel, it was a promise we made back in college, and now it can finally be realized.
While Elaina and I were running around the world, having fun and enjoying ourselves, Leroy back
home was already going crazy trying to find me.
He, who has never delayed his work, hasn’t been to the company for a long time.
Jeffrey was preparing to take over the position of chairman, desperately trying to impress his grandpa, Sir Martinez. Unfortunately, some projects were under Leroy’s responsibility, and only he

knew the details. However, he neither came to the company nor answered phone calls, leaving Jeffrey in a quite passive situation.
After making several mistakes in decision–making, Sir Martinez scolded him severely, and the appointment of the new chairman was also postponed.
Fiona came to find Leroy with her big belly, hoping that he would return to the company to help out. After all, she didn’t want the duck in her mouth to fly away.
“Leroy, haven’t you found Bryanna yet? She’s really something, throwing tantrums without any restraint. Just because she’s alone, the whole company has become a mess, and she’s even making you tired…”
huh? The “Shut up! I couldn’t be bothered to deal with you. So, you managed to crawl up to me.” chaos in the company is Jeffrey’s incompetence, what does it have to do with Bryanna?!” Leroy
shouted.
He had never scolded Fiona before, let alone cursed at her. Fiona was startled and tears welled up in her eyes as she pouted, “Leroy, I also care about you. Why did you scold me? It scared me.”
Leroy sneered and suddenly grabbed her neck, laughing in a chilling manner. “Fiona, what are you pretending in front of me? Are you scared? You dare to consume Bryanna’s flesh and blood as a nutritional supplement, so how the hell could you be afraid?!”
“What, what supplements? Leroy, I don’t understand what you’re saying,” Fiona looked a bit flustered.
Leroy had already anticipated that she would do this, so he pulled up the surveillance footage from the day at the front gate of the old house.
Fiona was arrogant and fearless, and she actually forgot that there was a surveillance camera at the entrance of the old house.
“Over the years, you have always pretended to be weak in front of me,
Bryanna in my presence,
but secretly bullying her!”

“If it weren’t for the words you said on my birthday banquet that day, I wouldn’t have realized until now how hypocritical you are.”
“For your hypocrisy, I killed our children, mine and Bryanna’s, time and time again, making sure she could never bear children again. It’s my fault, I admit it. But you dare to bribe the people around me and give those children away… You even deliberately provoke Bryanna, even though she poses no threat to you anymore. Why won’t you just let her go?!”
