Chapter 8
I habitually pressed the answer button.
But the next second, a familiar voice came from the other end.
I hung up in a hurry.
All domestic numbers were blocked.
But Braylon still had no intention of letting me go.
Apologies came in one after another through cross–border text messages.
At first, I would still click in to delete.
Later, it was discovered that my deletion action was not as fast as his posting.
We decided to gather together and select all at once, deleting everything.
Unable to reach Braylon through text messages, he immediately thought of email.
In the span of one hour, the mailbox received 99+ messages.
I looked at the red dot on the software, and my head was throbbing.
In the end, I could only uninstall this software.
Just seeking to disassociate from Braylon.
In the current situation in the country, Braylon looked at the messages on his phone that had gone unanswered.
I had a mental breakdown and almost went crazy.
The secretary stood in the office, sweating profusely, holding the contract in his hand.
“Mr. Spencer, why don’t you take a look at the contract first? The recent online public opinion has had a severe impact, and many business partners are considering breaking the contract. If the company continues like this…”
“Where are the people?”
The secretary paused for a moment.
“Who?”
“Where is the person you were looking for?”
“I really looked for Mr. Spencer, but I couldn’t find any news about his wife anywhere. I went to hotels, train stations, and all the places she could have been to. I really don’t know what else to do.

With the company in its current state, I can’t leave either!”
Braylon didn’t look at him again.
He snatched the keys from the table and turned around to go downstairs to the police station.
When it was possible to report the case, the police searched the system for a long time but still
found no clues.
“Mr. Spencer, did you make a mistake? Our records show that Ms. Hensley’s identity information
has already been cancelled. If you cannot provide accurate information, we won’t be able to locate
her.”
Cancellation?
In an instant, he thought of the phone call I received that morning.
The next second, he grabbed the police and ran out of the door.
When I arrived at the place to process the cancellation documents.
The staff did not dare to slack off when they saw the police.
I quickly found out the identity information that I had reissued after canceling my documents.
During the period, Talia sent several messages to Braylon.
He didn’t even look at it, and pressed delete directly.
The police officer noticed that he was not in the right mood and reminded him to calm down.
But Braylon still paced back and forth, his face filled with anxiety.
After the system was accessed, he took a photo and sent it to his secretary.
In ten minutes, the information about my flight arrived on his phone.
Braylon finally breathed a sigh of relief.
I asked the secretary to book a ticket for me and drove to the airport.
On the way, Talia noticed that he hadn’t replied to her message.
He called directly.
Braylon answered, but his tone was full of annoyance.
What happened?”
Talia was stunned for a moment, crying in grievance.

“Braylon, what’s wrong with you? My wound got infected, and Mason is busy with his company’s matters, so there’s no one to take care of me. I can only call you. Are you busy? If you’re busy, I won’t disturb you…”
She said she wouldn’t disturb.
There was no intention of hanging up the phone in any way.
If it were in the past, Braylon would have turned around and headed to the hospital upon hearing her say that.
But now, he furrowed his brow and his voice turned cold.
“If you are infected, go find a doctor. What can I do if you come to me? I have things to do, I’m hanging up.”
“Braylon… What’s wrong with you? You never used to be like this. Did Patricia find out? Did she say something to you? I know she’s upset because of Aunt’s passing, but if she says I fell on my own, don’t argue with her. Wait until I’m discharged, and then I’ll go apologize to her.”
As usual, with the same routine, but this time Braylon didn’t want to foot the bill for her acting
anymore.
“Talia, have you had enough? Don’t assume Patricia is just like you! She has never said anything about you in front of me, but you, on the other hand, have not stopped criticizing her!”
“That happened three years ago, and I don’t know what you want to hear by bringing it up now. Do you want to hear that Patricia doesn’t blame you anymore? Or do you want to hear that she knows she was wrong?”
“What exactly happened to you at the party that night, you know it yourself! Patricia is incapable of doing such a thing, she couldn’t have done it! Talia, you can deceive others, but don’t deceive yourself!”
“Do you
think I can’t see the online public opinion? You have three days to handle it. When I return to the country, I hope we never contact each other again!”
After saying that, he didn’t wait for Talia’s response and hung up the phone directly.
Blocked and deleted in one go.
Wait for him to get off the plane.
It was already the next morning.
I had just left the apartment and was getting ready for a job interview when I saw his figure downstairs.
