Story7–Chapter 1
When our daughter turned one month old, my husband Waylon Murray’s enemy kidnapped her and demanded a ransom of one billion dollars.
Waylon said that he faced business difficulties and couldn’t come up with the money.
But then he bought a necklace worth two billion, which he gave to his beloved Michelle Norton.
When I was feeling completely hopeless, Waylon’s archenemy Oswaldo Dougherty came to me with
a checkbook.
He said that as long as I divorced and went with him, he would pay the ransom.
I didn’t hesitate to sign the agreement, and Oswaldo, not feeling reassured, personally brought mercenaries to ransom my daughter back.
I firmly believed in my heart that he was the destiny for my lifetime.
When my daughter was five years old, I saw him making my daughter call Michelle “mom“.
“Oswaldo, you suffered for me and my daughter, otherwise you wouldn’t have had to marry Alyvia Huerta, a promiscuous woman, and get involved in a murder.”
“As long as you are happy in the Murray family, Michelle, I am content. But you must keep it a secret from Alyvia, as she would go crazy if she found out her daughter had died long ago.”
What I thought was redemption turned out to be the culprit that killed my daughter.
Oswaldo and the other two people are so close. They looked like a family.
Without any hesitation, I dialed the kidnapper’s phone number and said, “A three billion deal, take it or not?”

At the amusement park, Oswaldo watched Michelle and his daughters Thalia with adoration in his
eyes.
He was so focused that he didn’t see me standing not far behind him.
At that moment, his secretary came over.
“Mr. Dougherty, tomorrow is the anniversary of Mrs. Dougherty’s daughter’s passing. Will you still go in person?”
Oswaldo averted his gaze, “Yes. Although it was an accident, I caused the death of Alyvia’s daughter. But fortunately, Michelle successfully married Waylon.”
The secretary looked at Michelle, who was charmingly dressed in the distance, and sighed,

”
“Michelle only has Waylon in her heart. Even Thalia is hers and Mr. Murray’s. Why do you have to make such a big sacrifice?”
“If things got out, not only yourself, the Dougherty family would be completely ruined.”
Oswaldo said firmly, “It was clear from the beginning that Alyvia didn’t recognize that it wasn’t her daughter. Now, after personally raising her for five years, how could she still have doubts?”
The secretary remained silent for a moment before speaking, “But Mrs. Dougherty was really good to you. It’s unfair for you to deceive her like this.”
Oswaldo self–mockingly chuckled, “Love and affection, where is fairness in that? I never begged
her to love me.”
“If she really found out and made a fuss, I would give her another child.”
I was instantly plunged into an ice cave.
But the daughter over there suddenly turned around and shouted at me loudly.
“Mom, come and play together.”
Everyone looked towards me, and I couldn’t dodge in time and fell into the fountain.
Luckily, the pool was deep enough, so they didn’t see me.
The pool water was icy cold, but I dared not go out.
Michelle was annoyed and threw the cotton candy in her hand, saying, “Why are you shouting? Can’t you see your own mother is here?”
Thalia was startled and ran away crying. “You are a bad woman. You are not my mother.”
Oswaldo, who has always doted on his daughter, had a serious expression on his face. “Thalia, apologize to your mother now.”
Thalia cried even harder, and my heart ached. Instinctively, I wanted to go over and pick up my daughter.
But just now, Oswaldo’s words surged in my heart.
She was not my daughter.
My daughter had long been killed by Oswaldo.
The bones didn’t even be found.
She was only one month old at that time!
For Michelle, Oswaldo heartlessly handed my daughter over to the mob.

And following the mercenary to personally rescue people was just his trick.
It was just to make sure that I didn’t notice that he switched the child.
But I saw him as redemption, naively taking care of his daughter for him.
No wonder Oswaldo’s secretary always looked at me with pity.
It is really rare to find fools like me.
Thalia kept crying nonstop, and Oswaldo couldn’t calm her down, so he had to take her away first.
I crawled out of the pool in a wretched state.
The piercing cold wind blew, but I didn’t feel a trace of coldness.
I stumbled back to the villa. Seeing me drenched from head to toe, Oswaldo hurriedly came forward
and hugged me tightly.
He shouted for the servant while using his body to make me warm.
“Alyvia, what’s wrong with you?”
I said softly, “I went to the amusement park to find you and Thalia, but accidentally fell into the
pool.”
His body stiffened, and it took a while for the panic on his face to subside.
“I’ve told you not to go, right? You take care of Thalia every day. It’s not easy to take a day off.”
For the past five years, every week Oswaldo would take Thalia out for a day, letting me rest.
Watching Oswaldo dote on Thalia, my heart was filled with sweetness.
But I didn’t expect that Oswaldo was taking Thalia out to develop a relationship with Michelle.
It turns out that my five years were all lies.
