Chapter 2
“Alyvia, were you at the amusement park? Did you see anything?”
I came to my senses and saw Oswaldo cautiously probing, lowering his eyes.
“If I had seen you, I wouldn’t have been in such a sorry state.”
Oswaldo finally breathed a sigh of relief, tightened the blanket for me, and personally fed me the ginger soup.
So careful and considerate, even the surrounding servants cast admiring glances.
But the chill in my heart did not diminish.
Oswaldo’s play was really well performed.
Over the years, I surprisingly didn’t notice any clues at all.
Having packed everything up, Oswaldo carried me up the stairs.
Thalia, however, emerged with a wooden box in her hand.
“Dad, is this the love letter you wrote to Mom?”
I instinctively reached out to catch it.
However, Oswaldo forcefully opened my hand and tightly held the box in his arms.
Looking at my swollen and red hand, Thalia burst into tears and raised her little fist to hit Oswaldo.
“You hit Mom, you were a bad person.‘
Oswaldo’s face turned pale, and he carefully explained, “This was something entrusted to me by
someone else.”
I hadn’t even spoken when his phone started ringing.
It was a special ringtone, and Thalia cried even louder, “It’s a bad girl…”
Oswaldo covered Thalia’s mouth and quickly had the nanny take her out.
He apologized and told me that he had to go out for something.
That box was locked into the safe by him.
Unfortunately, the password was easy to guess.
Even Thalia knew, “It was that bad woman’s birthday.”
The box was opened, and there were photos of Michelle from childhood to adulthood.

I just found out that Oswaldo and Michelle were childhood sweethearts.
In the safe, there were several property donation agreements, and the recipients were all Michelle.
With a gentle sweep, it amounts to billions of dollars.
The time was just one day before Oswaldo and I got married.
And at the bottom of the cabinet, there was an envelope.
It was a photo of Michelle holding a baby, with Oswaldo’s handwriting on the back.
“Starting from today, I was going to become a father!”
A big exclamation mark, excitement and joy overflowed from the words.
And the time the photo was taken was exactly the day when the kidnappers took away my daughter.
A sharp pain surged in my heart, and I tightly pinched my arm to prevent the tears from falling.
After a long time, I finally regained my composure and stood up, feeling numbness in my legs.
I replied to the kidnappers.
The day after tomorrow, the dock received someone.
A bill of three billion, I believe Oswaldo would definitely be willing to pay this money for Michelle.
And once I reached the open sea, I could completely erase my traces.
Over the past five years, Oswaldo, I bid you farewell with the same play.
