But she had already pulled tue outside
Happily, she was about to usher me into the car.
Before I got in, 1 intermipted her action and spoko seriously.
“Auntie. Tu an ephan. I have no family background. I’m not worthy of Lacas”

I have to say, preparing for a wedding is exhausting.
It wasn’t until we finished taking wedding photos that I finally relaxed.
I realized I hadn’t had time to check my phone in days. When I picked it up, 1 found I had received many calls and messages.
Most of the messages were from Charlie.
He sent me a photo of a hand–it was Lucas’s hand, seen when he ended a video call with his brother.
“Whose hand is this? A man’s?”
“So you’re playing this game now, Emily? You think you can fool me with some man by your side? Do you think I care like I did before? Are you testing me? Can you stop being so childish?”
“Emily, my patience has limits. If you keep being honest, I might still consider you my sister. If you keep going down this path.”
There were a lot of messages, and they were annoying.
I didn’t continue reading and exited the chat.
Charlie’s mother also sent me a few messages.
“Emily, I know I said some harsh things that day, but you know, only have one son, Charlie. He’s going to take over the family business in the future.”
“You should understand what I mean. Even though you’ve been like a daughter to me for ten years, the affection I have for you is still very deep.. Behave, put away those unnecessary thoughts, and I’ll still care for you like I always did.”

Charlie’s mother’s words made me fall slept. My hand hovered over my phone for a few seconds hefore I exited the chat page.
There was nothing more to say.
There were a few more messages from mutual friends of Charlie and me.
But aside from my men friends and classmates, I didn’t reply to anyone related to the Walker family.
After replying to the messages, I scrolled through my social media feed.
I was until then that I realized Clace had been posting a lot.
He had shared numerous photos of him with Sarah.
There were photos of her birthday, of them traveling abroad together.
Charle rarely posted on social media, sometimes not posting anything for an entire year. Now, however, he was sharing a lot of photos with Sarah
Maybe he truly liked her.
I refreshed the feed again and saw a new post.
It was from Local
There were no words, just a photo of me and him holding hands with matching rines.
The comments section exploded.
Charlie was the first to comment, asking who Lucas was

Other comments wishing us well were replied to by Lucas with a simple thank you.”
Finally, Charlie sent another message to lacas, but again, Lucas didn’t respond.
This led Charlie to send Lucas a private message asking what was going on

But he didn’t block Charlie: instead, he began posting two or three photos of me and him each day.
However, none of them showed our faces directly
On the day before our wedding, when I went to the White family’s old house, I ran into Charlie and his group, who had come early to celebrate with

Sarah, walking beside him, saw me first. She exclaimed in surprise, “Sister, why are you here?”
Charlie turned around at the sound of her voice and, upon seeing me, curled his lips into a mocking smile
