Sensing a gaze on her, Beatrice turned her head and looked over.
It was Caden.

Caden dressed in a solemn black suit, his slender fingers rested on his forehead, and his blood–red thumb ring exuded a chilling bloodthirstiness. under the sunlight.
Besides him was Madelynn.
Madelynn seemed to be saying something to Caden, and the two of them looked very close. There was even a gentle and tender expression on his face.
Beatrice averted her gaze and calmly put down her hand.
Thank you,” she said to the man who had just helped her.
“No thanks.” Then, the man looked over casually.“Is that Mr. Caden? He really dotes on his fiancée. He even personally came to pick her up from school.”

Everyone could see Caden’s favoritism towards Madelynn.

And after what happened at the Baldwin’s mansion that night, she became even more convinced that Madelynn was not some kind person. After thinking so, Monica walked up to the man and said with a hint of pride, “He’s Abdiel Jimenez, the
young master of the Jimenez family. He’s both talented and handsome. We’re both very satisfied with him.”
The word “we” in her sentence carried a deep meaning.
Beatrice wanted to stop Monica, but it was too late already. After Monica’s voice fell, Caden’s eyes instantly darkened.
Abdiel stepped up and greeted, “Mr. Caden.”
But Caden ignored him, his gaze casually falling on Beatrice, and a faint mockery appeared at the corner of his lips.“We?”
Then, he cast a glance at Abdiel, saying meaningfully, “Truly a talented and handsome man.” Beatrice’s back stiffened, and her palms were covered in cold sweat.
Although it was just a casual remark of Caden’s, it caused her to feel danger and suffocated.

Madelynn glanced at Abdiel with a hint of disdain in her eyes.
She thought, “Abdiel? In front of Caden, he’s just a nobody.

Cherish him and make a happy life with him. Don’t think about messing around all the time.” The implied criticism in her words made Abdiel frown slightly.
At the same time, Monica was angry and wanted to retort, but Beatrice pulled her back and stopped her.
She knew it was Madelynn’s trap, and she didn’t want
to see Monica fall for it.
Then, she raised her eyes and looked at Caden, who appeared calm and composed. She knew very well who she messed with that night, and he knew it too.
However, he didn’t say anything and seemingly indulged Madelynn’s slander against her. After thinking it through, Beatrice sneered and pulled Monica over, saying, “Mom, Mr. Jimenez, let’s go.”
Abdiel politely bid farewell and then opened the car door for Beatrice and Monica. Not long after getting in the car, Beatrice got a message.

After sending the message, Beatrice clenched her phone. In fact, she knew this would come. But still, she felt disappointed and at a loss. It was as if she was struggling in a whirlpool but- unable to grasp anything to save herself.
She thought she had won a step ahead.
But the reality told her that she still lost to them.
She couldn’t help but ask herself in her heart, “When can I get rid of them? Soon, the three of them arrived at the restaurant.
Like a gentleman, Abdiel pulled out a chair for Beatrice and ordered her a glass of warm red wine. He said, “I see you’ve been unhappy all the way. Are you feeling unwell? The warm red wine can help make you feel better.”
“Thank you.”
A gentleman could always give Beatrice a favorable impression.
She smiled and nodded at Abdiel, gradually feeling relaxed.
Seeing this, Monica smiled, “Mr. Jimenez, Beatrice is always a bit shy in front of a stranger. Please don’t mind.”

very beautiful.”

fell directly on Beatrice’s face, and there was a gentle smile on him.

After the meal, Monica looked at Abdiel with great satisfaction and couldn’t stop smiling.
She pretended to answer a phone call and made an excuse, saying, “Beatrice, Ryan needs me for something, so I’ll go back first. You two can go watch a movie together and get to know each
other better.”
Before Beatrice could say something, Monica had already gotten in the car and left. Feeling a bit helpless, Beatrice turned around and looked at Abdiel apologetically, saying, “I’m sorry. But I think I should make it clear first. Coming to this blind date was not my intention.”
But Abdiel smiled, “It’s the same here. But Mrs. Baldwin has assigned us a task. So, let’s movie just to give both of our parents an answer, OK?”

Hearing Abdiel’s words, Beatrice agreed without much thought.
When Abdiel was booking tickets, he casually said while scrolling through his phone,“Ms. Lindsey, where do you live? Let me check if there is a movie theater nearby that is closer to your residence. In that case, it’ll be convenient for you to go back later.”
Looking at Abdiel, who had always been a gentleman and considerate, Beatrice answered truthfully, “I currently live on campus. So, as long as I can go back before ten in the evening, it’s fine.”
“OK. It’s done.”
Abdiel booked the tickets very quickly.
Beatrice didn’t want to take advantage of him, so she asked, “How much? I’ll give it to you.”
Abdiel looked at her and said, “Come on. Are you serious?”
After thinking for a few seconds, Beatrice changed her words and said, “Then let me treat you to a drink.”
Later, when they entered the venue, Abdiel suddenly realized that he had chosen the wrong time. He should have brought the 7:20 PM round, but he actually bought the 8:20 PM round.
It was a movie that lasted over an hour. It would be over 9:30 PM after they finished the movies and Beatrice’s schedule would be too tight.
Beatrice wanted to find an excuse to refuse to watch the movie.
But Abdiel spoke first, “It’s not far from your school here. After watching the movie, I will drive you back. It won’t take too much time. If I let you take a taxi or something, my family will ask me questions.”
Beatrice thought of the way Monica urged her to get married and reluctantly agreed. She would be busy with the competition in the next few days and really didn’t want to hear Monica’s nagging.
After entering the theater, Beatrice didn’t pay any attention to the movie. She checked the time from time to time, afraid that she would miss the time
to return to school.
As soon as the movie ended, Beatrice urged Abdiel to leave. On the way back to school, Beatrice found that Abdiel always got stuck by the red light.

Beatrice glanced at her phone, only to find that her phone, which had full bars just now, instantly lost all its signals.
It was a signal jammer!
In this way, the car became a completely closed space.
When Beatrice saw Abdiel’s calm smile, she knew that this was definitely not the first time he had done so.
Beatrice immediately turned and slapped the car window hard.
“Help! Help!”
There were still many cars

Almost simultaneously, the car lights next to Abdiel’s car turned on, and that luxury car gleamed- with a touch of elegance in the moonlight.

It was Caden!
Beatrice looked at Caden in the car as if she saw a savior.
She shouted loudly, “Mr. Caden! Mr. Caden!”
But in the next second, a pair of fair hands climbed onto Caden’s shoulders and pushed him towards the car door.
It was Madelynn!
She passionately kissed Caden.
Ignoring Beatrice’s shout for help, the car went away.
When Beatrice saw this, her heart sank. And before she could call for help again, Abdiel covered her mouth from behind.
Beatrice struggled but couldn’t break free.
She almost couldn’t breathe. She could only watch helplessly as Caden’s car drove away.
