Ryan quickly asked, “Is Caden okay?”
Beatrice carried a backpack on her back and said, “I won’t die!”
Monica leaned in and held her hand tightly, “You won’t die? It’s so serious, aren’t you staying? Where are you going?”
“Mom, didn’t you remember? I couldn’t stay over at the Baldwin family’s. I’m going back.” Beatrice turned around and was about to leave.
