Bella’s legal letter took the plagiarism incident to a new level.
Even the official statement from the Starlight Jewelry Competition permanently blacklisted me from the competition.
However, there was still no response from the Century Jewelry Competition.
Shortly after Bella’s legal letter was sent, Hugo called.
answered the call calmly, recording the conversation.
“Sophia, what the hell are you doing? Who allowed you to use that design draft for the competition? Hugo is raging on the other end of the phone.
I had no expectations left for this person and replied calmly, “I drew the design draft. Can’t I use in?
Hugo is furious. “But you didn’t say you were going to use it for the competition!”
My eyes flashed. “As far as I can remember I didn’t promise to give the design draft to Bella, did I? Moreover, it’s my design draft, not hers. Don’t I, the creator, have the full rights to use it?”
Hearing this, Hugo’s tone softened a bit, “Sophia, you have to understand and be reminded that Bella’s value is much more important than yours in Trifleming Jewelry. What you’re doing will ruin Trifleming Jewelry!”
I sneered, it was probably not about Trifleming Jewelry but about Hugo himself!
Hugo continued to persuade, “Listen to me. We will hold a press conference later. At the press conference, you are going to admit to plagiarizing Bella’s work, and if you do so, I’ll ask her to withdraw the lawsuit. After all, you’re going to be a full–time housewife in the future, so it won’t affect you at all!”
I didn’t think people could be shameless to this extent. “Hugo, if I admit to plagiarism, all competitions will blacklist me. How can you say such things?”
Hugo seemed desperate. “Even if you get blacklisted, it’s still better than Bella being blacklisted. She is much more valuable to the company than you, with all of her awards and recognitions. Don’t you have any sense of self–worth? Let me tell you this – if you still want to be with me, listen to me, and admit to plagiarizing Sophia’s work at the press conference, and that’s it!”

My eyes rolled when Hugo finished speaking. “Fine! I’ll be there!” I said.
Hugo finally relaxed, “The press conference is at 10 o’clock. Don’t be late, Sophia, I’m doing this for our future together. You have to understand, so please!”
I didn’t want to hear any more of his nauseating words. “I’ll be there on time!” I said before hanging
up the phone.
I used the phone for quite a while, and five minutes before the press conference, a post debunking the whole ordeal, with images and videos backing the claims, quietly appeared online.
rakovski Jewelry, CEO’s office.
The assistant looked at the CEO, “Mr. Strakovski, Miss Sophia has posted something!”
Lukas stood up, “One minute before the press conference, help her increase her popularity as much as possible and maintain the hype! I’ll go out for a moment!”
“Yes, Mr. Strakovski!” The assistant nodded.
As soon as Lukas finished speaking, he picked up his jacket from the sofa before heading out.
At the backstage of the press conference, Hugo once again reminded me of every word I have to say
to the media once I am out there. “Do you know what to say later?” He asked.
I nodded calmly. “Yes, I know.”
Hugo reached out to embrace me, to which I evaded.
Hugo let out a helpless sigh. “I know you’ve been wronged this time, I’m sorry. Don’t worry. After
this, it won’t happen again in the future!” He cooed to Sophia.
I remained silent.
At exactly ten o’clock in the morning, the press conference began.
Å day later, I faced the reporters‘ probing questions once again.
The reporter in the front row was sharp and asked first, “Miss Sophia, regarding the plagiarism of Bella’s design draft, how do you plan to apologize?”

I sneered, “Did you really think that I plagiarized Bella?”
The reporter was caught off guard by my response, and then he replied bluntly, “Do we even need to question it? Based on Bella’s level, if she plagiarized you, wouldn’t that be a huge joke?”
My eyes flashed. “Then what if she really plagiarized me?” I suggested.
Hugo’s face turned a bit ugly. “Sophia, what the hell are you doing?” He angrily whispered.
I ignored him.
The reporter in the front row boldly declared, “If Bella plagiarized you, I’ll eat ten pounds of shit!”
he reporters who are present burst into laughter.
I remained expressionless and unimpressed. “Then you should prepare yourself to eat shit!”
After saying that, I looked down at my phone and found that my post had reached the top of the trending list even faster than I predicted as if it had taken off like a rocket.
My eyes flickered, instantly understanding what had happened. It seemed that a certain Mr. Strakovski pitied me and gave me a helping hand.
I looked up, a smile playing on my lips as I gazed at the reporters in the room. “Now, I hope that everyone is looking at the trending Instagram post at this current time. Feel free to ask any questions you may have after reading it!”
