My countenance changed subtly. I had encountered scenes such as this several times in the past
three years.
I couldn’t help but said, “Is it possible that you might have mistaken someone else for him?”
In a world where a three year absence hadn’t yielded clues, locating an individual so effortlessly seemed improbable.
Ava remained steadfast, her determination etched onto her features. “No, I’m absolutely certain I
aven’t made an error this time.”
Seeing that her attitude was so determined, I said, “Then, perhaps it’s best if we step inside the bar and assess the situation more closely.”
Within the bar’s inner sanctum, within a VIP enclave.
Elias’s gaze settled on Lukas, his lips curving into a playful smile. “So, Lukas, you remain impervious to Sophia’s charms, I see? She strikes me as rather captivating.”
A subtle ripple coursed through Lukas’s brows. This was the third time he had been asked.
He was a little upset. “Have you met her?”
Elias’s grin deepened. “Indeed, I chanced upon her online. Though the image wasn’t unequivocally clear, drawing from my decades–long study of women, I’d venture to say she’s a striking beauty.”
Lukas cast a chilly glance at him, unwilling to entertain such meaningless words.
Drawing nearer, Elias’s tone adopted an almost conspiratorial inflection. “Come on, Lukas, you can’t genuinely claim immunity to her allure. I’ve observed your concerted efforts–whether facing down Trifleming Jewelry and their involvement in the official Starlight Jewelry competition or managing her notably dramatic sister. You even enlisted Strakovski Jewelry’s legal prowess to aid her in the lawsuit. It’s not exactly characteristic of your usual style.”
Lukas gazed at him reluctantly. “Her design aptitude is what captivates me, and it’s her creative prowess that has drawn my attention. My actions were simply aimed at lightening her predicaments, allowing her the liberty to immerse herself in her artistic pursuits. Unlike you, I’m not easily swayed by appearances.”
Elas’s retort bore a faint tint of contention. “You’re oversimplifying, Lukas. It’s not about being

Meanwhile, within the bar’s bustling expanse, I and Ava navigated the surroundings, our search inducing a sense of disoriented curiosity.
I said, “Ava, let’s divide and search. I’ll cover this area, and you will explore the other side. In case we don’t locate Cole, we can meet up at the VIP rooms and exchange any findings.”
Ava’s face was etched with tension. She nodded briskly.

Cole swung the door open, revealing two figures nestled on the couch. He greeted with respect, “Mr
Strakovski.”
Lukas arched his brow and cast a glance at him. “Just back from a flight?”
Cole shook his head. “I took a detour home first. I received word that you were seeking me, so I traveled here directly from there. I’ve brought along the investigation report. Feel free to

Therefore, Lukas has dispatched Cole to investigate the jewelry market in another region.
Turning the pages methodically, Lukas absorbed the content before addressing Cole’s stance. “Take a seat. We can delve into the details after.”
Cole shook his head, “Thank you, Mr Strakovski. I just disembarked from the flight and felt somewhat exhausted. I’ll be passing on alcohol tonight. I still have work tomorrow.”
Lukas’s pause lingered briefly. “Then going home and resting. Should you need it, taking the day aff tomorrow is certainly an option.”
Cole’s appreciation resonated with a prompt response, “I appreciate your understanding, Mr
Strakovski.”
Emerging from the VIP haven, Cole’s exit was seamless, veering toward the establishment’s back exit–a covert passage familiar to the regular patrons.
Meanwhile, I and Ava wandered around the hall in a circle, yet we couldn’t find Cole.

k To be honest, I didn’t want to disappoint Ava. I didn’t have high hopes. After all, Cole had
disappeared so completely in the past. All our classmates and friends had lost contact with him.
After searching for him for three years, the chance of accidentally bumping into him on the street was really slim.
However, seeing Ava, who was usually calm, looking so upset and anxious, I also felt a twinge of sympathy. “How about this? We’ll check the private rooms. We’ll knock on the door, and if he’s not
there, we can just say we got the wrong room. That way we will not offend anyone easily. not
Ava’s eyes were slightly red, but she obediently nodded.
After graduating, Ava had been working as a hacker, taking on various online freelance jobs. So, she

I had already pushed open four or five private room doors before Ava found two.
Just as I pushed open another door, I saw a group of men and women inside, causing me to furrow my brows. I realized the person I was looking for wasn’t there.
I gave a slight nod of apology. “Sorry, I got the wrong room!”
As soon as I finished speaking, there was a commotion from inside.
“Oh, since the beauty is here, why not come in and have some fun?”
“Beauty, you’re not mistaken. Now that you’ve opened our door, you’re in the right room!”
My complexion changed slightly, looking a bit uneasy. “I’m really sorry!”
