I followed Lukas with a flutter of nerves dancing in my stomach.
I had not expected to encounter Lukas‘ arch–nemesis so quickly and to be mistaken for his accomplice, used as a means of provocation against him.
Mediopolis knew Lukas as the undisputed king of the jewelry world, where his word held the weight of law within the industry.
However, his proper background remained shrouded in mystery. Six years ago, he emerged from
scurity, taking Strakovski Jewelry to unparalleled heights of success.
Those who dared to obstruct or offend him reportedly suffered unfortunate fates, adding to the aura of fear surrounding him.
Lukas in recent years, even if he is in big trouble, he can finally be safe, and later, some people say that the forces behind him are mysterious and powerful, and more and more people are afraid of
him.
A tinkling laugh chimed, slicing through the tension. “Lukas, that was swift!”

Lukas saw the two women leave and turned back to his private room.

He couldn’t help but said. “You had a girlfriend before. Could you not extend a more gentlemanly invitation and offer them a ride home?”
Lukas cast a sidelong glance at Elias. “No ulterior motives towards her.”
“Her?” Elias blinked in surprise.
“Sophia!” Lukas responded directly.
Elias’s curiosity was piqued by Lukas’s answer. While Ava held his interest, he was curious about Lukas’s thoughts..

Meanwhile, I and Ava exited the private room.
Noticing Ava’s distant expression, I voiced my concern. “Shouldn’t we keep searching?”

Unexpectedly, Ava inquired, “Is that Lukas guy your husband?”

I was at a loss for words, attempting to lighten the state of mind. “Indeed, he’s quite tall. And beles his neck, it’s all legs!”
