Chapter 67
Cole thought about what Lukas asked him to do and hesitated, “Well, since you’re new to the company and don’t have any private clients yet, I thought I’d let you know that private customizations are a crucial aspect of Strakovski Jewelry. The company values this area greatly.”
“What I mean is, if you feel pressured, I can introduce a few clients to you. Participate in some competitions, establish a reputation, and naturally, you’ll have more clients,” Cole said while observing my reaction.
As soon as he finished speaking, I directly declined, “Senior, I appreciate your concern, but I can’t
cept your kindness. Although private customizations have strict requirements, they usually have a three month deadline. If I can’t meet the company’s standards within three–month, then it means I’m not suitable for Strakovski Jewelry, or maybe I’m not competent enough for this position.”
Hearing my words, Cole felt somewhat helpless, “Why are you still as stubborn as you were in college?”
I smiled. “It’s not stubbornness. It’s my personal principle. If I change that, I wouldn’t be Sophia
anymore.”
Cole chuckled, “You have a point. I just wanted to tell you that if you need any help, just ask me directly. I didn’t expect you to be so proud and unwilling to accept it.”
I smirked, “Senior, even though I won’t accept your help, I truly appreciate your kindness.”
Cole shook his head with a smile, “Alright, understood. You can go back to work now.”
Third POV
As Sophia left, Cole sighed helplessly and called Lukas.
“Lukas, I just t spoke with Sophia about helping her with private clients, but she declined without hesitation,” Cole said.
Lukas’s hand paused while signing the documents, “Did you tell her it was my idea?”
Cole shook his head, “No, I said it was my personal idea.”
He had anticipated that Sophia would refuse.
the phone, Lukas’s tone was emotionless, “It seems like you understand her well, knowing she
E
wouldn’t accept it.”
Earlier in the morning, Lukas had told Cole that Sophin wouldn’t accept help from others due to her personality
Cole couldn’t comprehend Lukas’s attitude and quickly shook his head, “It’s not that I understand her, but based on past experiences, she always refuses help, so I guessed as much.”
Lukas responded with, “Train her well. Her talent in designing is not bad. That’s all.” After that, he hung up.
Cole’s palms felt a little sweaty, Sophia was clearly assigned to Strakovski Jewelry Design Department by Lukas himself.
However, Lukas’s attitude towards Sophia was somewhat strange, and Cole couldn’t figure out his
intentions.
He only sighed helplessly.
Sophia POV
In the afternoon, after work, Cole and I walked downstaller. Just as we arrived at the
parking lot, Lukas’s car pulled up and parked right next to Cole’s car.
Lukas rolled down the window, “Sophia, get in the car. I’ll take you to the hospital.”
I was startled, then I remembered that Lukas had said he would take me in the afternoon.
I quickly shook my head, “Mr Strakovski, It’s not necessary. Director Hopkins is going to the hospital to see Ava, and he’s kindly giving me a ride.”
Lukas furrowed his brows, “I said I’d take you this morning.”
He didn’t like it when things were arranged and then changed midway.
